After careful consideration, we’ve regrettably had to make the hard decision to cancel this year’s Dogmasters – the UK Dog Surfing Championships,
As you’ll be aware, we postponed this year’s championships to later in the year in the hope that we’d be able to go ahead but unfortunately the ongoing pandemic means that this isn’t now going to be possible. Reaching this decision has been extremely hard but we’re sure you understand that everyone’s health and safety has to be our top priority.
The great news is that we’ve been lucky enough to secure a date for JULY 25TH 2021 - which means that competitors’ training hasn’t gone to waste. It also means we have extra time to make next year’s event even bigger and better than this year was already going to be, with great music, more stalls, better food and drink, and fun activities for everyone. Promising a fantastic 2021 Dogmasters!
We’d like to thank everyone for your understanding and we’re pleased to let you know that both dog entry places and spectator tickets will automatically remain valid for the 2021 event. You don’t need to do anything – your tickets will automatically roll over to the new date.
If you’re unable to attend next year, simply get in touch with us before 30th September to request a refund.
If you’re a sponsor or were running a stall at the event we’ll be in touch with you directly in the next few days.

Shaka Surf Presents DOG MASTERS - 3RD UK Dog Surfing Championships - Sunday 19 July 2020
After last year’s huge success, including nearly a million UNILAD hits and national TV and radio coverage, this year’s UK Dog Surfing Championships is going to be bigger and better than ever! We’ve already had national interest and featured on the BBC Radio 1 Scott Mills show on 28 October last year - take a look here (go to 1 hour 12 mins).
This year’s event aims to have a fantastic line up including:
The Main Event: Paddleboard owner and dog tandem race heats, QF, SF and Final
HOT Radio bringing us all the best tunes, with Martyn the Hat and Kev Scott on compare
Dog (and/or owner) fancy dress - can you find a better outfit than Scooby last year?!
Solo Dog Surfing comp (dependent on conditions) including heats and prizes for style, longest wave, dismount, effort, tricks and most importantly tail wagging!

The important stuff! We only want dogs to enter if they’re 100% happy in the ocean and stress free. All dogs taking part can be trained to be stress free on boards before the comp by our trained professional dog training partner Vicky from Paws on Boards. Contact us for details.
